Timex Color Flicks
Designed by David Pakter of Pakter/Krauss in 1977, the Timex Color Flicks range of watches introduced something new into their catalog. Color Flicks watches paired brightly coloured dials with a mystery dial element. This was something Timex continued to experiment with through to modern times with the 2020 re-issue of the Color Flicks by Todd Snyder and rebranded as the Art of Pride watch.
By appllying pigment to a transparent disc and rotating this disc on top of a segmented dial background, David Pakter was able to dramatically change the colours being displayed on Color Flicks watches.
