Up until 1960 Timex had intermittently called several pieces Boys watches. Looking at the 1960 catalog this was solidified this year with the launch of an official range.

Initially Timex Boys Watches were sportster sized and had fixed lugs giving them a rugged field watch look.

Later boys models include the black dialed millitary style pieces that continued throughout the 70s and 80s.
