Kelton Watch History

The official story on Kelton’s website states that the Kelton brand was launched in 1955.

This is incorrect.

I have scans from issue of Life magazine that point to US Time, the brand that evolved into Timex, using the Kelton name as early as 1945

These early Kelton watches seem to pre-date those branded Timex. At least i cant find any early advertising to suggest otherwise. The closely follow what was to become the Monroe range of watches.

Although Kelton watches mirrored many of those produced under the Timex brand, Kelton did manage to create several unique pieces including their own chronostop and several Marlin models with unique faces.
