I’m notorious in vintage Timex collecting circles for seeing non Timex brands purely as parts for my Timex collection and have a graveyard of Kelton, Saga, Tidemaster etc to show for it. This Kelton Marlin however, will not be stripped as it has a dial i have never seen produced as a Timex. In fact it looks like it was taken straight from the infamous Black Max.
This watch has a blue plastic, friction fit, 60 second bi-directional bezel. The dial is blue with white printed stick markers with inset arabic numerals. The date window is trapezoid shaped with a corresponding white printed frame. Around the outside of the dial is a printed seconds track. The words KELTON, WATER RESISTANT and 25 METRES are printed on the dial along with a wave symbol. This identifies this watch as being made for a non-US market. The hands are black with white ends. The sweeping seconds hand is lollypop styled.
Needless to say its a keeper and one of my favorite pieces.
